Sweets from Bengal are well known across the world, fattening, may be; delicious, certainly.
But
whilst in towns and cities there are shops aplenty retailing these
traditional snacks and sweet-meals, it is the ubiquitous Tea Shops where
the best of Deshi pastries and snacks are to be found, and relished.
The denizens of Dhaka may regard Danish as the definitive pastry. But Deshi lovers know better.
