পুরানো ফরাসি গানের বোকে
সেদিন আমার পথে পথে হাঁটা
সেও তম্বুরা মান্ডলিন
তোমার সেদিন ঘর সিঁড়ি ভাঙা
বাংলার পট, পুরোনো চীন।

পৃথিবীর মুখে তুড়ি দিয়ে দিয়ে
দুইটি হৃদয় সেই
ডাল তেল নুন জোটে না যাদের
জামা-শাড়ি কিছু নেই,
তবুও আকাশ জয়ের বাসনা
দু:খের গুলি সে যেন ঢিল,
আমরা দুজনে বেগুনি আকাশে
সোনালি ডানার শঙ্খচিল—

শরীরের ক্ষুধা মাটির মতন
স্বপ্ন তখন সোনার সিঁড়ি,
মানুষ থাকুক সংসারে পড়ে
আমরা উড়িব পৃথিবী ছিঁড়ি।

সকাল হয়েছে: চাল নাই ঘরে,
সন্ধা হয়েছে: প্রদীপ নাই,
আমার কবিতা কেউ কেনে নাকো?
তোমার ছবিও ঘুঁটের ছাই?

ছ মাসের ভাড়া পড়ে আছে না কি?
ঘরে নাই তবু চাল কড়ি নুন?
আকাশের নীল পথে পথে তবু
আমার হৃদয় আত্তিলা হূণ
আকাশের নীল পথ থেকে পথে
জানালার পর জানালা খুলে
ভোরের মুনিয়াপাখির মতন
কোথায় যে দিতে পাখনা তুলে।

সংসার আজ শিকার করেছে
সোনালি চিলেরা হল শিকার,
আজ আমি আর কবিতা লিখি না
তুমিও তো ছবি আঁকো না আর।
তবুও শীতের শেষে ফাল্গুনে
মাতাল যখন সোনালি বন
তেরোশো তিরিশ—দারিদ্র্য সেই
ফিরে চাই আজ সে যৌবন।

ফিরে চাই আমি তোমারে আবার
আমার কবিতা, তোমার ছবি—
শুধাতাম আমি ‘অনুরাধাপুর’—
শুধাইতে তুমি ‘শকুন কবি’।
সেই-যে আকাশ খোঁজার স্বপ্ন
দুখের ছররা—সে যেন ঢিল,
আমরা দুজনে বেগুনি আকাশে
সোনালি ডানার শঙ্খচিল।

জীবনে ২ টি জিনিসই শিখেছি যে দুটিই আমার জীবনের সবচেয়ে বড় শত্রু  

১- মানুষকে খুব সহজে বিশ্বাস করে তাকে সাহায্য করা,বিনিময়ে আমি হয়েছি প্রতারিত ও নিঃস্ব  

২) লড়াই করে বাঁচতে শিখেছি কিন্তু আজ পর্যন্ত লড়াই আর শেষ হয়নি ।  

একটির পর একটি ঝড় এসে তছনছ করে দেয় যার পরে আমাকে আবার নতুন করে শুরু করতে হয়। 

'ভাগ্যর সহায়' বা 'সৌভাগ্য ' কি সেইটা আমি শুধু মানুষের মুখ থেকে শুনেছি কিন্তু আজ পর্যন্ত আমার জীবনে এমন কিছু পাইনি। তবুও বেঁচে আছি কারন আত্মহত্যা মহাপাপ , তাই বেঁচে থাকতে হয় যতক্ষণ না আমার স্বাভাবিক মৃত্যু না হয়

আমার একটা বাড়ি চাই,

পাশে রেখ সারাজীবন ।

রুনা ভাবির মত
আমাকেও একটা স্বর্নের হার গড়ে দাও,
শুধু বলেছি
নীল পাড়ের একটা তাঁতের শাড়ি কিনে দিও ।

আমি তো বলিনি
আমার নিজেদের একটা গাড়ি চাই,
শুধু বলেছি
হুডখোলা রিকশায় রাতের আকাশ
দেখতে ভীষণ ভালো লাগে ।

আমি তো বলিনি
আমি পৃথিবী ঘুরতে চাই,
শুধু বলেছি
সামর্থ্য হলে একবার সাগর দেখিয়ে এনো ।

তবে কেন তোমার এই ব্যস্ততা,
উপরে উঠবার এই নেশা,
যে তোমাকেই হারিয়ে ফেলছি 'তোমার' থেকে!

জড়ায়ে মায়ের গলা শিশু কহে আসি-
"মা তোমারে কত ভালবাসি।"
"কত ভালবাস ধন ?" জননী সুধায়।
... "এ-তো-" বলি দুই হাত প্রসারি দেখায়।

"তুমি মা আমারে ভালবাস কত খানি ?"
মা বলেন, "মাপ তার আমি নাহি জানি।"
"তবু কতখানি, বল !" "যতখানি ধরে
তোমার মায়ের বুকে।" "নহে তার পরে ?"
"তার বাড়া ভালবাসা পারিনা বাসিতে"
"আমি পারি।" বলে শিশু হাসিতে হাসিতে।

ঘৃণা বলতে এখনো তোমাকে

চুম্বনে তোমার লালা থেকে চুষে নেই
সংক্রামক ব্যাধি

তোমাকে আরোগ্য করি

তোমাকে নির্মাণ করি আমার বিনাশে
জীবন বলতে এখনো তোমাকে বুঝি
মৃত্যু বলতেও আমি এখনো তোমাকে।

তাহাকে ভালবাসিবার লোভ আমি সামলাইয়াছি
যখন আদি-অন্তের সেতুর মাঝখানে দাঁড়াইয়া
ভালবাসার পদ্ম-জলে দেখিয়াছি
... লাল-লাল নীল-নীল ছোপ-ছোপ স্বার্থ!
যে চলিয়া যাইবে তাহাকে জড়াইয়া রাখিবার স্বার্থ নয়
এই স্বার্থ যে চলিয়া গেল তাহার মঙ্গল কামনায় প্রদীপ জ্বালাইবার
অথবা তাহার রাখিয়া যাওয়া ছায়া-অনলে নিজে জ্বলিবার।
স্মৃতিরা আজন্ম জ্বলিয়াই গেল, তবু ছাই হইল না

উর্বর দেহ-জমিনে বালুকা-মন লইয়া যাহারা চলিল
তাহারা প্রেমিক
প্রেমিকদের ভালবাসা ঘন্টাব্যাপী বিছানা ভ্রমণ
প্রেমিকদের চুম্বনের দাগ স্নানের প্রথম জলেই খসিয়া যায়
তাহাকে প্রেমিক প্করিবার সকল আয়োজন বিসর্জন দিয়াছি
যখন দেখিয়াছি হৃদয় হইতে তাহার দেবতা প্রিয় হাস্য মুখ
জীবনব্যাপী বরষার জলেও মুছিবে না

আমি সহস্র পুরুষের শার্টের কামুক গন্ধ নাকে শোঁকাইয়া বলি নাই
আমি সাধু
আমি একজন পুরুষের এক মুঠো ভালবাসা চাহিবার দন্ডে দন্ডিত
যাহার কাছে গোটা পৃথিবী এক খাঁচা শূন্য কারাগার, তাহাকে
প্রভু কোন কারাগারের ভয় দেখাইলেন তবে?
... আমার ধারাল কষ্টে হৃদয় ফাড়িয়া ছিন্ন, আর আমি বসিয়া কান্না ভাঙ্গি
যখন আমার ভাঙ্গা কান্না আরও ভাঙ্গিল, কান্নার টুকরা সাজাইয়া লিখিলাম-
তাহাকে ভালবাসিব বলিয়াই ভাল না বাসিবার শপথ; অস্থি-মাংস-মজ্জায়......

জানে রাতের শুকতারা, বিরোহিনী রাত জানে,
জানে প্রানের নীল ভোমরা, চাওয়া আমার সবে জানে,
জানেনা তোমার হ্র্দয় অফিসের ডাকহরকরা।
...
শিউলি ফুল ও জানে,
জানে ওই ঝরা পাতা,
প্রেম উপন্যাসের মলাট জানে,
জানে ভালোবাসার কাব্য খাতা,
চাওয়া আমার সবে জানে,
জানেনা তোমার খামকেয়ালি শুভ্র তারা।

বনের টিয়া ও জানে,
জানে খেয়ার মাঝি,
আকাশ ঝরা বৃষ্টি ও জানে,
জানে প্রেমিকের আঁখি,
চাওয়া আমার সবে জানে,

ভালোবাসা খুব ব্যথার নকশা,
আঁকা-আঁকি সারাবেলা,

আবার আসিব ফিরে

আবার আসিব ফিরে ধানসিঁড়িটির তীরে- এই বাংলায়
হয়তো মানুষ নয়- হয়তো বা শাঁখচিল শালিকের বেশে,
হয়তো ভোরের কাক হয়ে এই কার্তিকের নবান্নের দেশে
কুয়াশার বুকে ভেসে একদিন আসিব কাঁঠাল ছায়ায়।
হয়তো বা হাঁস কোনো- কিশোরীর- ঘুঙুর রহিবে লাল পায়
সারাদিন কেটে যাবে কল্মীর গন্ধভরা জলে ভেসে ভেসে।
আবার আসিব আমি বাংলার নদী মাঠ ক্ষেত ভালোবেসে
জলঙ্গীর ঢেউএ ভেজা বাংলারই সবুজ করুণ ডাঙ্গায়।

হয়তো দেখিবে চেয়ে সুদর্শন উড়িতেছে সন্ধ্যার বাতাসে।
হয়তো শুনিবে এক লক্ষ্মীপেঁচা ডাকিতেছে শিমূলের ডালে।
হয়তো খৈয়ের ধান সরাতেছে শিশু এক উঠানের ঘাসে।
রূপসার ঘোলা জলে হয়তো কিশোর এক সাদা ছেঁড়া পালে
ডিঙ্গা বায়; রাঙ্গা মেঘ সাঁতরায়ে অন্ধকারে আসিতেছে নীড়ে
দেখিবে ধবল বক; আমারে পাবে তুমি ইহাদের ভীড়ে।

ব্রাউনংয়ের মতে জগতের প্রতি একমাত্র যুক্তিসঙ্গত মনোবৃত্তি হচ্ছে দ্বন্দ্বপরায়নতার।
যে মন নিয়ে প্রিয়ার সঙ্গে মেশা যায়, সে মন নিয়ে সাধারনের সঙ্গে মিশতে গেলে ভুল করা হবে। সাধারনের সঙ্গে সন্বন্ধ দ্বন্দ্বের, মিলনের নয়। এর কারন কি?
ব্রাউনিং বলবেন; জগৎ নিষ্ঠুর বলে।
আমরা বলবো; না, জগৎ আপনাকে আপনার নির্ধারিত মুল্যে গ্রহন করতে চায় না বলে। আপনি চান আপনার অবিমিশ্র প্রশংসা। জগৎ তা দিতে নারাজ। সে আপনাকে বাজিয়ে নিতে চায়। তাই আপনি এমন একটি সঙ্গিনী বেছে নিতে চান যিনি কেবল আপনার প্রশংসাই করবেন, ত্রুটির দিকে তাকাবেন না। এই সমালোচনাহীন প্রেম কিন্তু খুব প্রশংসনীয় ব্যাপার নয়। অপক্ষপাত সমালোচনার শীতল বাতাস সইতে পারা স্বাস্থ্যের লক্ষন। যার সে ক্ষমতা নেই সে দুর্বল, রুগ্ন। তার কাছ থেকে জগৎ তেমন কিছু আশা করতে পারে না।

জীবন গিয়েছে চলে আমাদের কুড়ি কুড়ি, বছরের পার-
তখন হঠাৎ যদি মেঠো পথে পাই আমি তোমারে আবার।
হয়তো এসেছে চাঁদ মাঝরাতে একরাশ পাতার পিছনে
সরু-সরু কালো-কালো ডালপালা মুখে নিয়ে তার,
শিরীষের অথবা জামের,
ঝাউয়ের--আমের;
কুড়ি বছরের পরে তখন তোমারে নাই মনে।

জীবন গিয়েছে চ'লে আমাদের কুড়ি-কুড়ি বছরের পার,-
তখন আবার যদি দেখা হয় তোমার আমার।

তখন হয়তো মাঠে হামাগুড়ি দিয়ে পেঁচা নামে-
বাবলার গলির অন্ধকারে
অশথের জানালার ফাঁকে
কোথায় লুকায় আপনাকে।
চোখের পাতার মতো নেমে চুপি কোথায় চিলের ডানা থামে-

সোনালী সোনালী চিল--শিশির শিকার ক'রে নিয়ে গেছে তারে-
কুড়ি বছরের পরে সেই কুয়াশায় পাই যদি হঠাৎ তোমারে।
